Ex Scunny Player Wins Case Against Ben Chapman

FORMER Scunthorpe midfielder Peter Morrison has been awarded more than £400,000 in compensation following a tackle that ended his career.
Morrison's injuries were so severe that Scunthorpe's match against Grimsby on February 14, 2001 was abandoned.
Ben Chapman was sent off for the challenge - and Morrison never played again.
Now working as an agent, Morrison said: "As I looked down at my leg, I could see the tibia and fibula bones protruding from my sock which as you can imagine was soaked with blood.
"Football had been my life since leaving school, so you can imagine what a blow it was to learn that I'd never play again."
Solicitor Garret Spring from Manchester-based law firm Pannone LLP said: "I'm pleased we were able to help Peter recover damages in a notoriously difficult area of legal expertise, that of sports injuries caused by negligence."
