There is a pattern developing with every season (bar perhaps last season) we drop too many points early in the season with silly mistakes. This costs us a realistic shot at the title. We then go on a decent run until January when Hurst messes up his transfer dealings. This puts us on the back foot. We lose a few games. Fenty comes out with a stupid statement. Hurst starts banging on about the fans creating a negative environment. Said fans point out that we have underachieved spectacularly for 15 years and are a little bit narked. The pressure mounts. Hurst picks strange sides. The team's form disappears we enter the play off completely out of sorts and then we get beaten by a football club who we should be at least two leagues above. Does anyone seriously think this isn't going to happen again? Well maybe we might not get in the play offs.
