Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Journalist Wanted

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 09/01/2001

In light of the recent success of one of our staff writers, The Fishy is looking to recruit a news reporter. Experience is not an issue and no HTML skills are required - we want somebody who is, above all, keen and committed - the most enthusiastic applicant will be successful.

Although the position is unpaid, we are offering free 24 hour internet access and other assistance to the successful candidate. Writing for The Fishy is an excellent route into web-based journalism, as Stephen Bateman, one of our regular contributors over the last few months will agree.

Steve began writing for the Fishy in November, whilst still studying at college. During that time, his writing came to the attention of both SkySports.com and PlanetFootball.com - now, after regularly contributing articles to both sites, he has left his course and is about to join Planet Football as a full-time staff writer.

We are currently looking for someone to replace Steve, and if you think that you have the commitment and enthusiasm that we are looking for, and you are also able to up-date the site throughout the day, then this could be your chance to get a foot in the door of web-based journalism.

In order to be considered for the position, all we ask is that you send us your news articles covering the latest happenings at Blundell Park. Get the articles to us as soon as possible and we'll post the best ones on the site.

Email your articles to rob@grimsbyfans.com and cc them to billoz@tsn.cc, stephenbateman01@hotmail.com. You can do all this in one click with this link
