GRIMSBY manager Lennie Lawrence has denied that there is a rift between him and the board despite him stating on Saturday, "The business with the players we have out of contract is beginning to concern me greatly - both on the field and off it. That's all I'm going to say on the matter,"

Today the Town boss told the Grimsby Telegraph "There's no rift with the board. I'm pushing for things but I understand the financial constraints. I'm sure that me and the board will work an amicable resolution to the problems and that everything will get done."

"I'm sure the contracts and everything will get sorted out."

Danny Coyne

Grimsby Town have denied rumours that goalkeeper Danny Coyne may move to Bolton Wanderers although they are aware that Bolton scouts have been watching him

A club spokesman told planetfootball.com: "Obviously the club would listen to any offers of that amount but no enquiries have been made at this time."

Lee Matthews

Town are expecting to sign Leeds United striker Lee Matthews on a free transfer very soon. Signing Matthews would be a welcome addition to the front line with Luke Cornwall joining the club on loan until the end of the season
