Is football a business or a sport?

GRIMSBY TOWN manager Lennie Lawrence believes that there is enough commitment in the team to win the battle to avoid relegation.

With the Mariners having lost only once in their last five games the Town boss believes that Grimsby can survive the season long battle against the drop. "We have great spirit and togetherness here and we have an honest bunch of players that have proven that they are prepared to work hard and battle for this club," said the Grimsby boss.

"Another two wins and a couple of draws will see Town safe." predicted the Town gafffer. "All our games are close and what I've said may change if a couple of the bottom teams put a run together but we'll remain focused and keep on going and see what we can do,"

Other News

The rearranged Blackburn Rovers game at Blundell Park April 24 is in danger of being postponed again due to international call-ups for Blackburn players.

There is speculation however that Blackburn boss Graeme Souness may wish to avoid a backlog of games and may go ahead with the fixture.
