Moore Makes a Move?

Latest reports are that Middlesborough winger Alan Moore has been attending training with Grimsby Town recently. Alan made his debut under Lennie Lawrence for 'Boro vs. Notts County in 1993. Once given the synonymous title of "The new Ryan Giggs" he will be out of contract at the end of the season.

There are a couple of other clubs who are looking at Moore at the moment, Hearts and Hibs. He also had a trial with Preston earlier this season.

This is what the Middlesbrough site say about him.

ALAN MOORE Burst onto the scene in a blaze of glory with a quite explosive debut way back when in the summer of 1992. The new Ryan Giggs was the cry at the time. Liverpool were knocking at the door was the rumour mill line. It's tragic that he has never again reached those early heights.

The forgotten man in Boro's squad, he only once troubled the newspaper pages last season and that was for his offside move down the wing of Club M. Oh and I almost forgot his once a season back page appearance, Moore Comeback - Like a New Signing. Nice one. When was it again April 1st. Ahhh!! One of Boro's left foot legion, he plays at wing back more often than not in the stiffs but could probably do with a move to revitalise his career. A wonderfully gifted player.

Facts and Figures.
