Aaaah! Mr Blobby (as he is sometimes known), chum of Brian Laws, made a few appearances at the start of the 96/97 season, looking very very slow and boring. Webb appeared very over the hill and was deemed to poor, even by Mr Laws' standards!
Although he was by no means the worst Town player ever, but to be truthful, was not far off it, especially as he was an ex England international and former Manchester United star. This reunion between him and his ex-teammate Laws did not last for long at all, and by the end of the season Webb was playing for Altringham in the Conference.
