We regularly need new cod heads, so would appreciate contributions from lifelong supporters of the Mariners. This week's Cod Head is Jack Kirwin.

Fishy:
Tell us a bit about yourself?

Jack:
My name is Jack Kirwin, I'm 16 years old and I've been following Town for about 5 years which was when I really got into football.

Fishy:
When did you first start supporting the Mariners, and what was your first game?

Jack:
I started supporting the Mariners in 1996; I think my first game was against Reading.

Fishy:
Who is the best player you ever saw wearing a Grimsby Town shirt?

Jack:
For me the best player I ever SAW in a town shirt was and still is Danny Coyne!.

Fishy:
If there is one game you were allowed to go back in time and watch what would it be and why?

Jack:
The game I would most like to see again is town vs. Fulham in the playoff semi final in the promotion year because I was too young to appreciate it and too naive to run on the pitch!

Fishy:
What are your favourite and least favourite away grounds?

Jack:
My favourite ground, surprisingly enough is Highfield Road don't ask why, its just coming up those steps and looking out.
My worst has to be the racecourse, Wrexham, because lets face it, it's a dump!

Fishy:
What, in your opinion, are GTFC's best and worst seasons since you have been supporting them?

Jack:
The best season has to be 98' with the Wembley visits and the success and the worst is probably this one because we just haven't been performing

Fishy:
What is the most eventful day you have ever had in the course of following the Mariners?

Jack:
My most eventful day following the mariners must have been Northampton at Wembley, I went with my older brother and him and his mates decided it would be a good idea to handcuff me to a lamppost in London and leave me for an hour, fortunately, a member of the local constabulary had the same set of keys to the handcuffs and kindly uncuffed me!

Fishy:
Who is the greatest ever GTFC manager?

Jack:
The greatest manager I personally have ever witnessed at town has to be Alan Buckley, I don't know why but we had quite a bit of success with him.

Fishy:
How many games a season do you get to now, and what do you do while Town are playing games that you can't get to?

Jack:
I go to every home game and about half of the away games. When I can't get to a game, I always listen to it on the radio or the net

Fishy:
Name your all-time starting eleven since you have been watching Town?

Jack:
My all time starting eleven since I've been watching town is:

Coyne

BouldingWiddringtonPouton
LesterMendoncaAshcroft

Jack Kirwin
