Club Report A Rush on Tickets - Sellout Nears!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 27/03/2002

GRIMSBY Town fans are urged to get their tickets as soon as possible for the remaining two matches at Blundell Park. 8,500 seats have already been booked for the Sheffield Wednesday game and with the attendance rapidly approaching a full house, the club has had to stop taking credit card bookings.

Mariners Net reports that there were queues stretching outside the Ticket Office door this morning on several occasions, and tickets are selling very quickly indeed.

The Owls have already sold their full allocation for the Osmond End, and the staff in the Grimsby Town Ticket Office have been inundated with Wednesday fans trying to buy seats in the 'Home' Stands. The staff are doing their best to weed out bogus 'home' fans, but it does mean that seats could be even more at a premium.

Grimsby Town Ticket Supremo Steve Wraith said, "We don't want anyone to be disappointed. The office has been very busy, and we expect a sell-out, so I ask all fans to book their seats as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

Since 'Gazza' joined Burnley, there has been a remarkable rise in people wanting tickets for Town's last game - so if you can, why not book for both games at the same time?

Over the last five games, Town have averaged three goals a game. It's entertainment of the highest quality - don't miss out!
