Town Announce Squad Numbers

GRIMSBY Town have announced next season's squad numbers, with Paul Groves switching from the number 11 shirt he has made his own for some years, to take up the number 4 jersey, finally reflecting his central defensive role in the team, after making the switch from midfield three years ago.

Terry Cooke now will wear the number 11 shirt during season 2002-2003, moving up from 26. Other newcomers into the coveted 1-11 bracket are Paul Raven (was 15), Coldicott (16), transfer-listed Phil Jevons (9) and Steve Livingstone (14).

The first eleven shirt numbers are as follows:

FORMER Scunthorpe midfielder Lee Hodges has joined Lancashire club Rochdale, after spending just one training session on trial with the Mariners, before signing for the Third Division outfit today.
