The Fishyio: 09-Aug

By: The Fishyio
Date: 09/08/2002

YOU can all breathe a sigh of relief as the Fishyio is back from the depths (the pub actually) and is here to let you, the dedicated fan, know who is injured and won't feature in upcoming games.

With Boulding going to Villa to warm up the bench at Villa Park and Butterfield going to my native London to see if the ladies are better looking there or not, and also numerous cuts being made at the club due to the ITV Digital crisis, not many players are left. Allen is going to Cyprus, so there goes my best customer.

If any of you are interested then Fishyio is predicting a relegation battle this season (shocking, I know) but we will survive......I hope.

Anyway to start off the season only 2 players are injured this week. Wonder how long that will last.........

Chris Thompson - the ex Liverpool man is nursing an ankle injury although it is described as only a knock. When he does return he could struggle to make the bench with Livvo, Jevons, Rowan and newly arrived Robinson likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Steve Croudson - Coyne's understudy had surgery to repair his shoulder during the summer and is not going to be seen until at least mid october. With finances being so tight at the club expect the YT keepers to keep Stevie's place on the bench warm. Pray Coyne does not get injured otherwise we could be up a certain creek without a paddle.
