Taylor's Contract Could End Due To Injury!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 28/08/2002

ROBERT Taylor's injury could lead to him leaving Grimsby Town. Today the Grimsby Telegraph spoke to manager Paul Groves who said that Taylor could have damaged his Achilles tendon - the same injury that cut his first Town spell short in February.

If that is the case, Taylor could be released from the four-month contract under a special clause that means he can be released with only a week's notice.

"We have just got to wait and see. We think it's his lower calf but it could be related to his Achilles. That's the worry and we're waiting to find out." said Groves.

"He's resting at the moment to see how the swelling goes. I don't really know how long it's going to be but we hope to know fairly soon. I think he's had a little bit of an improvement. He is definitely out of the Millwall game."
