Boulding Returns!

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 11/01/2003

GRIMSBY Town have re-signed midfielder Mick Boulding from Aston Villa, initially on a loan basis, but with a view to a permanent deal shortly after Saturday's match with Wimbledon. The loan allows the former Blundell Park crowd favourite to join the squad in time for the Dons game.

The 26-year-old striker left Blundell Park in the summer on a Bosman in a big money move to Villa Park, but has dropped well down the pecking order at the Midlands giants, and has recently been out of action through injury.

After the disappointment of losing loanees Steve Kabba and John Oster, due ironically to the quality of their appearances for Grimsby whilst on loan, recapturing Boulding is a huge coup for Paul Groves, and gives a massive boost to everyone connected with the club.
