Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

This Could Be Your Very Last Chance!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 28/04/2003

WITH Grimsby Town relegated to Division Two, it can be expected that a number of players will be heading outwards. There has been no official announcement yet on who will be going but Georges Santos, the Fishy Player of Year, has been made an offer to stay.

So this may be your last chance to talk to your favourite player whoever it is. The Players Award night is at the Winter gardens in Cleethorpes this Tuesday 29th April 2003 with doors opening at 7.30pm and tickets are on sale from the club shop at Blundell Park priced at just £2. You can also pay at the door.

The official awards ceremony, where almost 30 separate awards are presented, including the Fishy Player of The Year will be supported by entertainment from the superb "Y'Abba D'Abba" and a disco.

This is a great night for Mariners fans which gives them the opportunity to mix with the players and ask all those questions they have been dying to ask. It will also be a great opportunity for Fishy fans to get to meet each other in person.

So why not book Tuesday night, get your ticket and have a great night out with your heroes.

If you do intend going, would you please email me at billo@gtisc.co.uk to give us some idea of how many Fishy Folk are going.

But be careful! Latest news is that Mrs D might be going!

P.S. If anyone is taking a camera, we would also appreciate a few pics!!
