Crane To Miss Tranmere

TONY Crane will miss Town's crucial relegation decider at Tranmere after picking up fifteen yellow cards throughout the season. The former Owl, who has also been sent off twice, has already missed seven games this campaign through previous suspensions.
With Greg Young ruled out through a shoulder injury sustained against Chesterfield, Nicky Law will probably opt to place the experienced Paul Warhurst alongside the dependable Mike Edwards in the heart of the defence. With club captain John McDermott back in contention for the trip to the Wirral, another alternative would be to move Jason Crowe from right back to a central defensive position.
The Mariners need to beat Tranmere to be certain of avoiding a second successive relegation, but have not won away from home since November 2003.
