HARRY Haddock is on the comeback trail. Ticket manager Steve Wraith said 'Harry is coming back" News that many Grimsby fans have been longing to hear!

Steve told the Grimsby Telegraph; "When he first appeared on the scene in the late Eighties, it was unbelievable. The amount of inflatable fish being waved on the terraces - both home and away - was tremendous. Now we are bringing him back and hope he will have the same effect second time around."

In fact it was the Grimsby Telegraph that introduced the original Harry back in 1988 and since then many fans have been calling for its return.

Steve Wraith added: "We wanted to bring Harry back - he is so popular. The latest batch of around 2,000 will be in the club shop in a fortnight. We have tried to make them look more like haddock than the originals and they will cost between 6 and 7 pounds."

"Let's hope we can get that Harry fever back again - he is a Mariners legend."
