French Players On Trial At BP!

THREE French trialists from the French Premier league have arrived at Blundell Park today. They are hoping to make an impression on Russell Slade who also hopes that they can make a mark.

Jean Gabbin from Nice, Denis D'Amico from Nice and Gilles Noto from Cannes are looking for work in the UK but Grimsby are awaiting clearances for all three before any decision will be made.

Russell Slade told the Grimsby Telegraph; "These lads have been with teams in the top level in France and have a bit of pedigree. Obviously we'll have to see how they do but they are keen and have made the trip over to have a trial with us.

"They are all around the 22-years-old mark and still have a lot of football ahead of them. With their experience from the French premier league, they could prove to be great additions to the squad if it works out."
