Slade Fails Again!

RUSSELL Slade is having to face once again failing to attract a striker on loan to Blundell Park after all of his targets have ruled themselves out this week. But two players have returned from injury into contention for the first team squad, namely Darren Mansaram and Simon Ramsden.

One of those targets, Hull City's Danny Allsopp, came on as a substitute and scored last night in the Tigers' 4-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday. The Australian target man has stated his intention is to fight for a regular starting berth at the KC, telling Radio Humberside: "I don't want to go on loan. I want to stay here."

Neither Mansaram, who has recovered from a back injury, nor Ramsden (neck) are likely to do more than make the bench for Saturday's long trip to Somerset to face high-flying Yeovil, meaning Grimsby are likely to field an unchanged side at Huish Park.
