UNFANCIED DR Congo beat World Cup qualifiers Togo 2-0 with goals from Tresor Mputu and their England-based Captain Lomana Lua Lua. The Simbas now face Angola on Wednesday.
Angola were soundly beaten by the group’s favourites and past winners Cameroon. Our African prince Jean Paul Kamudimba Kalala was named in the DR Congo squad for this game but was not one of the three substitutes used in this opening game.
