Who's Your Hero? |
February Player of the Month

AFTER the disappointment of January the injury-ravaged Mariners were more successful in February, scraping their way to three 1-0 wins through the month, although none of them were particularly convincing.

Here are the six nominations for February's player of the month award:
Paul Bolland - Midfielder
Bolly’s form has been top notch so far this season and is an unsung hero in the midfield department.
Gary Cohen Midfielder
Showed his versatility of late with some winning performances at right back in an out of shape defence. Picked up the most nominations for the month.
Michael Reddy - Defender
Town's biggest asset and has been scoring virtually every game recently. A great goal scorer, but also a good team player creating goals and able to hold the ball up well. Only his petulance has let him down recently. Some daft bookings caused Redds to be suspended against Chester.
Steve Mildenhall - Goalkeeper
Steve has been the backbone of Town's defence (one of the best in the all four leagues) and is a much better goalie than the one we had last season. Arguably Slade's best signing of the summer.
Tom Newey - Defender
Dependable left back who has kept his place in the team at his normal left back position, despite the competition from Gary Croft.
Ciaran Toner - Midfielder
One of the players at Blundell Park who has been unlucky to have been left out due to the success of the team when he's not been in the side. Town always seem to play better with the Irishman in the centre of the park.
