Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Northampton 0-3 Carlisle

CARLISLE, who led League Two at the start of the night, moved three points clear and sent out a clear message to the whole of the division: 'Catch us if you can!'

The Cumbrians took the lead through Karl Hawley after a big error from Jason Crowe allowed the recently crowned League Two player of the year to score his 20th goal of the campaign.

Northampton played reasonably well but were punished with late goals from Michael Bridges and Danny Livesly which kept the Cumbrians three points clear at the top.

This may though be good news for the Mariners as the possibility looms ever nearer of a seven point gap after the automatic promotion spots if Town win at home to Barnet and away at Rochdale.

Though this is a big blow for the Cobblers there is plenty of time left yet and definitely plenty more twists and turns along the path to League Two glory.
