Sales Crash Through 6000 Barrier

GTFC have confirmed that they expect that today's game against Barnet to reach the target 6000 mark. With the club already having sold 4000 tickets, fans paying on the day are likely to boost the crowd through the 6000 barrier.
This 4000 sum though does not include the 500 or so people who tend to queue outside of the John Smiths' to receive their afternoon's entertainment.
This comes as a big boost for the Mariners, who have the chance to move 4 points clear of the promotion zone, and is almost certain to give the boys a big boost. This campaign also has been helped by fan Bill Hammond who has set up a singing competition between all of the allocated seats for the Mariners' fans. This is expected to set up a carnival like atmosphere with the Mariners' fans expected to bring drums and hooters to make as much noise as possible as Town reach the final length of the season. So remember sing your hearts out today while hopefully watching the Mariners pick up a vital three points.
