Reddy Out for up to 10 days

By: Jake Olley
Date: 11/03/2006

GRIMSBY striker Michael Reddy has been ruled out for up to ten days according to Mariners' chief Russell Slade. This means Reddy is definitely OUT of Town's game at Rochdale.

For those who were non attendees at the game today against Barnet, Reddy limped off after twenty six minutes to be replaced by Junior Mendes in a move that immediately raised eyebrows from the Mariners' fans.

Russell Slade said afterwards to Mariners World that the substitution was down to a groin injury which Reddy had complained about at the end of the week. The Town boss also admitted that even though the injury wasn't overly serious, it was still a big blow to lose the Irishman for 7-10 days. Reddy who has impressed this season has had a virtually clean bill of health which he personally admits has been the key to his good campaign. This will also be seen as a huge blow for Town which is likely to see him miss two games against Rochdale and Bury.

Meanwhile, Town were stung with a further setback today against Barnet as Paul Bolland picked up a nasty lump on his ankle which makes the midfielder a major doubt for Tuesday's Rochdale game. Despite this Russell Slade remained upbeat by admitting that if "Bolland could play he would play as that's the way Bolly is."
