Beat the Bookies: Week 39

LINCOLN'S draw last weekend with Leyton Orient did Town a big favour, and it also did Beat the Bookies a favour as it meant the point we had precicted proved another winner.

The Mariners head to Macclesfield for what will be virtually a home game for Town with most of their regular supporters inside Moss Rose. The bookies favour Grimsby to win. bet365.com offer 11/10 for a Town win, 21/10 for a Macclesfield win and 11/10 for a draw.
Unfortunately both Leyton Orient and Northampton are at home, and odds on to win against Peterborough and Chester respectively. Of the two, bet365.com offer 6/1 for a Chester win at the Cobblers. This is not a bad price for Chester, who have picked up 14 points from a possible 18. The chances are, though, that all three clubs will win, with Town the most likely to drop points.
Also at the top promoted Carlisle face Torquay at home, who are desperate for the points. How many times do you see the promoted side lose this sort of game? Quite a lot! bet365.com rank a win for the Gulls at 9/2.
