New Brooms Please

RIGHT then, where do we start? Let's first look at the state of GTFC at the moment. Five years ago we were top of the Championship. What has happened since?

Well do I really have to tell you, top of the Championship to 19th in League Two, speaks for itself doesn't it?

What are the common denominators in that time? 1, the presence of John Fenty; 2, the presence of Graham Rodger. You can argue all you like about John Fenty's contribution to the club on the financial side and also Graham Rodger's part in all those years, but one thing not in doubt is during their continuous presence at the Football Club we have been on the slide.

Let's first look at Mr Fenty's part. I really don't think he lacks any feeling for the club , the problem is he has little or no knowledge about football which leads to poor decision making, e.g. the appointment of Graham Rodger as manager. What we needed instead to stop the rot which has been going on for some years was a complete clear out at the Football Club.

Well with the season under way what can you do now? Has the opportunity come and gone. I say to all at BP: you have the power to change things still, there may be difficult decisions to make and it will take a big man to do it but you have to change this abysmal management set up and completely change all the coaching staff, appoint and allow a new manager and staff to come in and allow them to get on with it. Don't interfere. If you don't do this then you and you alone will have to live with the consequences of what will probably happen to the Football Club.
