ALAN Buckley has signed three players on a month's loan. The trio are Stoke City midfielder Anthony Pulis, Stoke City striker Martin Paterson and Birmingham right winger/striker Peter Till. All three could start in the big clash with Accrington on Saturday.

  • TOWN have released three young players who have failed to progress beyond the fringes of the first team. Midfielder Paul Ashton joins defenders Miles Chamberlain and Ben Higgins in looking for a new club after having been found superfluous to requrements at Blundell Park. All three players had been given short-term professional contracts in the summer.

  • GRIMSBY'S clash with table-topping Walsall on Sat 13th Jan, will be shown live on Sky TV and has been switched to Monday 15th Jan (19:45). Town are the only side to have beaten Walsall in the league so far this season.
