Martin McIntosh

Solid centre back with acres of experience, mainly in his native Scotland. However started out with Tottenham Hotspur as a junior. Two months after signing professional terms at the start of the 1988/1989 season he transferred to St Mirren where he only managed a couple of appearances before he left for Clydebank in 1991.

Midway through the 1993/1994 season Marty joined Hamilton Academical where he notched up over 100 appearances before returning to England with Stockport County for £80,000. Marty made a name of himself at County and caught the eye of clubs back home including Glasgow Rangers, however it was fellow Scottish Premiership club Hibernian who landed him paying Stockport a cool £250,000 for him in February 2000.

Martin found it hard going in the SPL and after a loan spell with Rotherham United he made the move permanently in November 2001 costing manager Ronnie Moore £125,000. He was a regular for Rotherham until his free transfer move to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town in June 2005. Martin signed a one month loan deal for Grimsby Town in August and played out his month before returning to Huddersfield.
