John Fenty Looking for Success Saturday
By: Bill Osborne
Date: 24/10/2007
WITH the Mariners having lost their last four league games, John Fenty is looking for a change of fortune in Saturday's game against Bradford. Fenty said; "Without question, the Bradford match is going to be the biggest game of the season, in terms of both attendance and what rides on the game."
He told the Grimsby Telegraph: "It's a huge six-pointer because Bradford are only one place above us and we will climb above them with a win."
"It's also Martin Butler's home debut and Shaleum Logan's second match at Blundell Park."
"Martin showed some good touches against Wycombe and we all hope he can be the one to put the finishing touch to all our good build-up play."
"We have played some great football this season, but the simple fact is we haven't been getting the right results."
"Without goals we don't stand a chance of progressing up the table, but that is why we have brought Martin to the club."
"We think he is the man to get us goals and help us get back to winning ways."
"As ever, the fans play a massive role in what happens on the pitch. Their support comes through in the performances of the players and how the fans respond and react is, therefore, of vital importance."
"We can't deny we are in a results-based industry, and goals get you results.
"We are doing as much as we can to address the lack of goals and, hopefully, with Martin now on board, we will turn the corner and start to win games and give fans something to cheer."
