Is football a business or a sport?

November Player of the Month

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 27/11/2007

COULD November finally see Town start to turn the corner? Apart from the cup games it had been a terrible season, but the Mariners have finally started to keep clean sheets and score goals with their strikers in their last two games. Can it continue?

Home > 2007-2008 Season > Player of the Month > November

The six players nominated by our readers for the November Player of the Month award, votes from which will count towards the eventual winner at the end of the season, are as follows:

Phil Barnes - Barnes has been rejuvenated this season but will struggle to get back in the team after the performance of Gary Montgomery in his absence.

Danny Boshell - Another player who has thrived under Buckley and normally finds the target at least once a month.

James Hunt - Does not get the credit he often deserves for the amount of work Hunt puts in in midfield.

Gary Jones - struggled to get in the team all season, a little unfairly, but now looks to be first choice striker alongside Danny North after the last two games.

Gary Montgomery - Had two fantastic games at the end of November, keeping a clean sheet in the matches against Carlisle and Barnet. Also played in the defeat at Rotherham.

Danny North - Another striker who has had limited chances this season but was superb against Barnet and should hopefully get picked more often now.

Pleas vote using Question of the Week.
