Overview

Hey a team doing worse then us! And they don’t even have a point deduction. One point from a possible 21 and an astonishing -12 goal difference already, Paul Fairclough isn’t doing too well. Barnet have always had trouble when facing The Mariners in all the games we have competed against them The Bees haven’t managed to retain a single point have managed to scored the mind boggling total of one goal. Never mind guys have you seen our defence this year? Those having a terrible record over Town Barnet managed to finish well clear of them in the league last season finishing five places off a play off spot. A lack of goals away from home ruined any chances of play off aspirations only scoring 19 on the road third lowest after relegated Mansfield and struggling Nott’s County.

The Team
Unfortunately for Barnet Carew and Yakubu are just Premiership namesakes but the Bees can boast former Mariner trialist Nicky Nicolau as well as former Arsenal youngster Andy Birchall. In goal the Bees rely on the vastly experienced Lee Harrison (left) who can name Charlton, Fulham and Orient has just some of his previous clubs. The defence is the usual mix of young and old: Kenny Gillet, Joe Devera and the already aforementioned Nicolou all will retain places for tomorrow’s game at the back. Midfield is usually comprises of Michael Leary, Max Porter and Danny Hart with a front pairing of Birchall and Adomah.

One to Watch
Albert Adomah. Albert has been at Underhill for just over a year and managed to score ten goals in his first season for the Bees this year. After Barnet’s early hammerings (two 3-1 defeats, a 4-0 and a 4-2) Barnet and Adomah have both controlled themselves with Albert scoring in their previous two games. At the young age of 21 big things are expected of the youngster and a goal tomorrow would continue his solid start to the season.
