Fishy Shortlisted for Award

THE Fishy has been shortlisted in the final ten sites in the 'Football League - Online Fanzine' category for 2009. The competition was open to all fanzine web sites of the 72 league clubs. Fans voted on an initial selection of 64 sites, and after the votes have been counted the most popular ten sites have been selected.

A judging panel will next decide which of the ten nominees will win the award.
The Fishy has been running continuously for over a decade, and has now amassed over 11,000 pages, not including the millions of forum posts. The forum, with almost 1000 members, alone gets over half a million page impressions a month,
Grim Rob Says. Thanks to everyone who voted, and who has contributed to the site over the years. There were 64 fanzines on the list including many associated with clubs with a much larger supporter base, so to get this far is pretty good.
This site is by the fans, for the fans, and we will consider articles on any subject relating to the Mariners whether it be related to current news, a nostalgic look back in the past, a story about a player, a game or games in the past, something about Blundell Park or football in general.
