Neil Matthews. D.O.B 10/09/1968

Tall, left-sided, curly haired striker who came through the junior ranks at Blundell Park with players like John McDermott, Andy Moore and Kevin Topliss.

Made his first team debut against Brighton in 1987 and went on to play two more first team games. Had loan periods and Scunthorpe United and Bolton Wanderers before signing permanently for Halifax Town. Enjoyed further spells with Stockport County (£70 000 transfer fee) and Lincoln City before going non league with Dagenham and Redbridge and Leigh RMI. Nowadays coaching kids with Huddersfield academy.
