Town Draw Ashington

GRIMSBY have drawn Ashington at home in the FA Cup. The Colliers play in Northern League Division One at level 5 of the non-league pyramid, 4 levels below that at which Town operate. The winner will progress to the first round proper.

Town know from last year's trip to Chasetown that no team can br treated lightly. However the Mariners would be expected to progress against a team whose average gate is a tenth that of Blundell Park.

Other highlights from the draw as are a local derby between Hitchin and Luton, and Lincoln's trip to Alfreton.
