Another Defender Signs

FORMER Darlington captain Ian Miller has joined Town until the end of the season. The 28-year-old free agent has been signed to plug the gap at the back caused by injuries, suspensions and players departing. Miller had been with Darlo until very recently but left due to the financial crisis at the club.

Miller started his career in his native Suffolk with Ipswich Town, who he played for just once. After spells on loan at Boston and Darlington he final joined the Quakers in 2007, and made 150 appearances for Darlington.

Town have also extended left back Conor Townsend's loan until the end of the season.

Town have recently lost defenders Lee Ridley (departed), Darran Kempson (departed) and Will Antwi (loan finished). Charlie I'Anson (ankle), and Shaun Pearson (suspended) are both unavailable for the clash with Lincoln on New Year's Day.

The likelihood is that Miller will start the game at Blundell Park against the Imps.
