Grimsby v Hereford Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 04/01/2013

CRAWLEY striker Richard Brodie has joined on loan until the end of the season and will go straight into the squad for the home game with Hereford. It's possible that other new signings could be in place for the match as well, although time seems to slipping away on the prospect of signing Ross Hannah.

The Bradford striker and his club have been given a final offer by Town and the decision is on their court. The Brodie deal does not necessarily mean Hannah won't come as Grimsby have lost three strikers recently - Elding, Rankine and Hannah, so Town are still short on numbers in the forward department.

Elsewhere defender Nathan Pond will play his final game before heading back to Fleetwood, and Hull City winger and former Town loanee Jamie Devitt could be on his way to Blundell Park as a possible replacement for Luton new boy Scott Neilson.

Hereford, who beat Kidderminster away on New Year's Day, are obviously a threat. The Bulls have just signed James Musa on loan from Fulham, so the New Zealander is likely to start for Hereford. Leading scorer Ryan Bowman (knee), is nearing fitness so could start, but midfielders Sam Clucas and Will Evans are still recovering from their injuries.
