Beat the Bookies: Week 31

WITH just one winner last week Beat the Bookies made a small loss, but we're still well up for the year. Grimsby's game with Macclesfield being called off of course resulted in our money being returned.

Grimsby take on Kidderminster this week in a tough game to call. The only thing that does look likely is that it will be a low scoring game. Kidderminster's last three away games have been 0-1,1-0,1-0 and Town's goals have dried up in recent weeks and they've had to rely on a solid defence for points. Under 1.5 goals at 3.6 with Bet Victor looks the best bet for the game, it will pay out for 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1.

Premier League

  • Reading v Aston Villa - away win (3.16, Heaven). Reading's mini run of miracle results is a distant memory, and let's face it they were mainly results they didn't deserve. Villa haven't been winning games either but they've generally been matches against the top clubs. Against Reading they should face a much easier test than the sides they've been up against of late.

    Championship

  • Leicester v Sheff Wed - away win (6.0, Marathon). Leicester has really wobbled of late and they nearly lost to Leeds at home in midweek (but for a 93rd minute equaliser they would have done). Wendy have just lost to two form teams Watford and Forest but before that beat Brighton and Palace, so are obviously capable of beating the top clubs.

    League One

  • Bournemouth v Doncaster - away win (4.5, Pinnacle). Bournemouth have lost their last four games. Donny have only lost 1 from 6, ok there have been a lot of draws but at this price the value has to be with the away win.

  • Swindon v Walsall - away win (5.77, Pinnacle). Walsall are flying at the moment with 14 points from 6 games. Swindon are also doing well but they lost to Bury in their last home game, so this price looks great value for the away win.

    League Two

  • Fleetwood Town v Exeter - away win (3.27, Pinnacle). Exeter have won 4 league games out of the last six. Fleetwood have only won half that amount during the same period, and they've only picked up 1 pout from the last 4 games.

  • Rochdale v Wycombe - away win (3.23, Pinnacle). Wycombe were on a tremendous run then lost three in a row but have won the last two and now face a Rochdale side who have been hammered 3-0 in their last two games. Dale look like they have nothing to play for for the last few weeks of the season. Neither have Wycombe really but at least they have some momentum for a possible late surge towards the top,
