Tamworth v Grimsby Team News

GRIMSBY return to league action for a match at Tamworth that is sandwiched between the two games with Scunthorpe, In reality, the match with the Lambs is more important than that with Scunthorpe, for the simple reason that it contributes to the ultimate prize - promotion.

Town are back to a fully fit squad (with the exception of Chris Doig) giving Paul Hurst a lot of decisions to make. Liam Hearn, Ritchie Jones and James McKeown have all been ill but the trio are fully recovered and fighting for a place in the starting XI. However with so many players now available some of the fist team squad won't even make the bench.

The chances are Paul Hurst will name something close to the team that came close to beating Scunthorpe at the weekend. Tamworth knocked out League Two Cheltenham in Round 1 of the FA Cup at the weekend and followed that up with a 1-0 midweek win over Alfreton at the New Lawn, so they are in good form, despite a relatively indifferent start to the season, and have not conceded a goal in the last three games.
