Grimsby v Maidenhead Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 10/01/2014

GRIMSBY take on a side they have never played before, Maidenhead of the Conference South, in the FA Trophy. With top two sides Luton and Cambridge meeting in Round 4, Grimsby are favourites to win the tournament and are therefore likely to field a string side to try and emulate last season's Wembley outing.

Clayton McDonald (arm) and Scott Kerr (knee) are close to returning to first team action and could well make the squad for Maidenhead, if not they'll probably come into play on Tuesday.

It's also possible the squad could be strengthened before the weekend, so any new signing could in principle make the squad, unless they have been cup tied with another non-league team.

Maidenhead have won every round of the FA Trophy away from home, without needing a reply in any of the matches. They are in good form as well, having won their last three games, but they haven't played yet this year because of the weather.
