Forest Green v Grimsby Team News

FOREST Green are to have a "precautionary" pitch inspection at 11am tomorrow, but the match is expected to go ahead with the worst of the cold weather having now passed.

Grimsby have not played since the win at Eastleigh, and they now face a trio of massive games against three of the division's Big Guns: Forest Green, Bristol Rovers and Barnet. Town need to win some if not all of these games if they are to prolong their chances of snatching the league tile and claiming the one automatic promotion place.

Jon-Paul Pittman (hamstring) and Scott Brown (knee) are still injured. Neither featured against Eastleigh however so Paul Hurst will probably pick a very similar if not the same squad that he used for that away game. Scott Neilson has also been struggling for fitness and Paul Hurst has ruled the winger out of the squad for the journey down the A46.

Grimsby have a good record against Forest Green. Town have won 6 out of 9 meetings with Rovers and lost just once. Town have won 6 out of the last 7 games between the two sides and beat Rovers 2-1 earlier this season at Blundell Park.
