Shrewsbury v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 15/12/2015

GRIMSBY have their second bite at the cherry in the FA Cup when they visit Shrewsbury tonight for their Second Round Replay. The winner will face Cardiff City away in Round 3. The Mariners dominated the goalless first game with the Shrews and hit the woodwork twice in the match at Blundell Park.

The Mariners played a mainly second string side in the FA Trophy draw with Solihull at the weekend, which itself resulted in another draw. Paul Hurst is expected to revert to his "normal" team for the match with Shrewsbury. Only Danny East is ruled out with injury, although striker Alex Jones has returned to has parent club Birmingham City so no longer an option for Paul Hurst.

Shrewsbury could turn to striker Tyrone Barnett, who came off the bench to score in the 1-1 draw at Peterborough on Saturday. Midfielder Larnell Cole (groin) is fit again after struggling with a recent injury.

Also playing tonight are Weston Super Mare and Wealdstone. If the Mariners overcome Solihull in next week's replay they will face the winner these two sides at Blundell Park.
