Town Sign Keeper On Loan

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 05/01/2018

TOWN have made their first January signing, acquiring Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Jake Kean on loan until the end of the season. Kean joined the Owls in the summer of 2016 from Norwich, but has yet to make an appearance for them.

The 26-year-old made 21 appearances for Mansfield last season on loan after signing in last year's January transfer window. With James McKeown still injured, Kean is expected to make his debut on Saturday when Town take on Morecambe at home.

Grimsby are expected to do more business in the window, with movement in and out of the club anticipated.
