UNCONFIRMED reports suggest that midfielder Elliott Whitehouse has picked up a serious knee injury would could cause him to miss a large part of the new season. The summer signing, who has yet to play for the Mariners, arrived from Lincoln this summer, and is one of the key men for the new campaign.
The club have not confirmed the extent of the pre-season injury, which was reported on Radio Humberside yet. As no denial has taken place, it's likely they are awaiting their own assessments before releasing details on any injury.
Update: the club have confirmed that Whitehouse has a cruciate ligament injury which generally means missing a whole season. We wish him the best of luck getting fit again.
