Grimsby v Rochdale Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 14/08/2018

GRIMSBY are likely to stick with close to the team that beat Macclesield when they take on League One side Rochdale in the EFL Cup. The Mariners chalked up their first win of the least at Moss Rose on Saturday.

Whitehouse is Town's only long-term injury. Cardwell, Famewo and Fox are all back in training but none are expected to feature yet.

Rochdale, like Town, have a win and a loss in the first two games. Veteran striker Ian Henderson is Dale's dangerman.

Rochdale have a good record against Town, winning 7 of the last 10 games, while Grimsby have not beaten Dale in any of the last nine attempts. They last met 8 years ago in League Two.
