Mansfield v Grimsby Team News

TOWN look to bounce back from two defeats in a difficult looking tie at Mansfield. The Stags have only lost once all season, but have more draws than wins so lie only 10th in the table.

Alex Whitmore limped off at Cambridge with a rib injury and is still a doubt. Holding midfielder John Welsh is close to a comeback after recovering from a calf injury, but Harry Cardwell and Harry Davis are still some not ready for first-team duties.

Mansfield are likely to name a settled side but midfielder Otis Khan and defender Ryan Sweeney might make the squad after recent injuries.

Although Mansfield draw a lot of games, none of the recent games at Field Mill have been draws with 5 home wins and 4 away wins in the last 9. There have only been 3 draws in 19 games this millennium, all at Blundell Park.
