Town Make Signing

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 13/01/2022

PAUL Hurst has made his first transfer window signing, bringing in 22-year-old left-back Danny Amos on a free transfer from Port Vale. Amos, who played three times for Vale this season, has joined Grimsby on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

With Seb Revan having returned to Villa, Amos is effectively a straight swap. Revan, Sears and Will Bapaga have all recently departed Blundell Park, and Efete suffered a hamstring injury against Halifax, meaning Town are very light in numbers. Plus of course the lack of forward options has been a problem all season.

Consequently, more signings are likely soon.
