Match Abandoned

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 16/08/2022

GRIMSBY'S match with Carlisle was called off due to torrential rain which very rapidly led to a waterlogged pitch.

The match started and lasted roughly half an hour without a goal, but after a brief stop to clear standing water, the referee shortly after play resumed abandoned the game.

The Mariners will have to rearrange the game and will face Sutton next at Blundell Park on Saturday (weather permitting!).
