Good News As Players Back After Injuries!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 11/12/2002

GOOD news today in that John McDermott who was feared to be out until after Xmas has almost recovered from his injury but is still doubtful for Saturday's game. McDermott was replaced at half-time at Walsall with a pulled abductor muscle but it appears to be less serious than first thought.

Paul Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph; "Macca is going to be on the doubtful list for Saturday, but the injury is not as bad as we thought it was. It is still difficult to say how long he will be."

But Darren Mansaram, Jason Gavin and Paul Groves have all declared themselves fit for Saturdays clash with Preston.

If Groves plays, Simon Ford will go to full back and it looks likely that Livvo and Mansaram will be the frontline pairing with Oster dropping back into midfield.
