BOSTON defender Ben Futcher has joined Town on a three year contract today. Ben is the son of Paul Futcher one of Grimsby's long time legends.
He joined Boston from Lincoln where he was in the team that reached the playoffs three times scoring 11 goals.
He told Mariners Net: "I heard about the interest from Grimsby and straight away I was on the phone to Russell Slade."
"I've spoken to my dad and he says what a good club it is. As I said, as soon as I heard about the interest my mind was made up."
"It is just one of those things. It didn't work out (at Boston) and I want to put that chapter in my life behind me now - I can't wait to get started now."
Town fans will be delighted to see the name Futcher on the team sheets again. His dad, Paul, is still talked about by the fans.
