We regularly need new Cod Heads, so would appreciate contributions from lifelong supporters of the Mariners. This week's Cod Head is John Dimitrovich-White.

John Dimitrovich-White

Fishy:
Tell us a bit about yourself.

John:
Born in Skegness. Currently living in Isleworth Middlesex. Just down the road from Brentford's Ground. Moved to London in 1972. Go to games in London and others I can get to, finances allowed. Married with two daughters , Emma and Laura both of whom are Town Fans with Emma coming to all Grimsby games I see with me.

Fishy:
When did you first start supporting the Mariners, and what was your first game?

John:
Always a MARINERS FAN since I was a kid. First saw Grimsby at Home to Bournemouth in 1968.

Fishy:
Who is the best player you ever saw wearing a Grimsby Town shirt?

John:
Clive Mendonca and Sir "MACCA"

Fishy:
If there is one game you were allowed to go back in time and watch what would it be and why?

John:
Brentford V Grimsby, 3 - 1 to Grimsby, 2003 -2005, because I was able to rub in the result to the four Brentford Fans I work with.

Fishy:
What are your favourite and least favourite away grounds?

John:
Favourite Brentford as they are pretty friendly to away fans. Least favourite Plough Lane, an awful place. No wonder they moved Wimbledon.

Fishy:
What, in your opinion, are GTFC's best and worst seasons since you have been supporting them?

John:
Best season the Wembley Double year and the promotion.
Worst season the double relegation 2002 to 2004.

Fishy:
What is the most eventful day you have ever had in the course of following the Mariners?

John:
The two Wembley games and watching the Grimsby fans doing the Conga in the rain at Brentford.

Fishy:
What is the strangest thing you have ever done at a game?

John:
I never do anything strange and my psychiatrist can support me on this one.

Fishy:
What is the worst game you've ever been to?

John:
Loosing FA Cup and League game at Queens Park Rangers, there are also Rangers Fans where I work.

Fishy:
What's the most amusing chant you've heard at a game?

John:
"Dirty Northern Bastards", by any London fans. They are incapable of developing individual chants for teams so anyone North of Watford gets that shouted at them.

Fishy:
Who is the greatest ever GTFC manager?

John:
By their personal record over all it has to be BILL SHANKLY

Fishy:
How many games a season do you get to now, and what do you do while Town are playing games that you can't get to?

John:
I get to about 6 which has more to do with finance than anything else. I watch the Gillette Soccer Saturday show to keep up with events.

Fishy:
Name your all-time starting eleven since you have been watching Town?

John:
1.Beasant
2.Macca
3.Croft
4.Futcher (C)
5.Jones
6.Groves
7.Gilbert
8.Birtles
9.Drinkell
10.Mendonca
11. Reddy
