WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Wycombe.

Key PlayerStefan Oakes.. With the exit of many key players in the last year, Wycombe will look to Oakes to provide a spark in the midfield. Oakes was impressive at times last season, but a more consistent season will be required if a sustained promotion challenge is to be launched.
StrengthsThe presence of Tommy Mooney, Kevin Betsy, Stefan Oakes and Jermaine Easter will give Wanderers fans hope a good season. Each of those players, on their day, can quickly turn a match.
WeaknessesThe Manager. Just 5 wins in 32 games with Livingston in Scotland hardly convinces me that he is the man to lead Wycombe out of this division. With little knowledge of the English lower leagues, he could get a shock when he meets some of the rough and tumble sides in the division.
Prediction20th. I think this could be a season of struggle for Wycombe. They sank like a ship at the end of last season and with the appointment of Lambert, I am not sure a serious promotion charge can be made.
